In this video I tare down, hone & clean a 2 stroke powerhead (Mercury XR6) that suffered some low compression. This is a 2.5L 150HP block.

I go through the steps on how to successfully install a digital thermostat in your house.

Throttle Pushrod: OEM # 878420T Bushings: OEM # 23-932481 Simple DIY parts replacement. The Rod and Bushings simply snap in/out. Careful not to drop them down in the engine cowl or you’ll have to fish them out! Try not to work on such projects while on the water. Work smarter not harder on dry land!
