It's so nice to hear people of today use "F" bombs while speaking to everyone assuming it will be well received. I would spend my time getting right with Jesus who will cleanup your mouth, your life and save your soul. Or, you can keep on doing things your way and in the end wish you never did. What good does it do for a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul.

Hot Rod Mercury says:

Going to have this replaced along with my Oil Filter Adaptor Gasket.
Place is charging me 150 for just the adaptor gasket. but i told him i will drain the tank for him and let him replace both things just so we dont have to do it in the future.Love this damn car.
Next is going to be my Differential fluid, transmission fluid and filter, etc. She will be running like new!

David Barthel says:

I have a 99 grand marquis. What do you do if you can't get the quick connect disconnected from the fuel line. I got one but the 3/8th is impossible.

gardnerdean says:

Where is the fuel pump on a 1989 Grand Marquis? The front of the tank only has an electrical connection, no gas lines.

Silent Warrior says:

My 2000 Crown Vic dont have a side hole to pick the tab to loosen the electrical connector on rear passenger side.If I only knew how to disconnect it, just hoping I dont have to splice it.

tony donini says:

does my 2006 mercury grand marquis have an up right tank?

Gerard Lunow says:

Got the Studs of Ebay $13 a pair. Made the job easy vs horrible.

tim c says:

good tips- the one below from Billy Crouch sounds good too- one note: seeing the trouble light hanging there gave me chills- a buddy at work almost died, lost his car and garage along with months in a burn ward changing a fuel pump- he simply dropped his trouble light and the bulb broke… PLEASE use a sealed LED worklamp, and never flip the switch under the car- also a cheap fan blowing across the floor will keep the heavier than air fumes from creating a explosive mix… in winter time/low humidity, a cheap spray bottle of water spritzed on the floor where you're working can prevent static discharges too. most folks probably realize the hazard, but honestly, I never really thought about it till Mikes accident.

Hector Herrera says:

i have to stop today cuz i could not get those straps back, short bolts but now i know what to do and tell the customer tomorrow thanks exactly what i need it

Larry Robinson says:

How do you remove the fuel hoses from the fuel pump?

Rolando Crisostomo says:

My problem was the tank itself, my customer drilled holes in the tank to mount an audio amp, and didn't realize why his car smelled like gas, until I told him that lump inside the trunk is his gas tank. So I took the tank down and used the proper studs.

Todd Gilmore says:

Fuck!! I have to do this on a budget from a dirt driveway with car jacked up!! I have none of these special tools needed to remove these fuel lines!

ILSRWY4 says:

"How to change the fuel pump in a 2001 ……." Your title should have said "how to not remove the fuel tank when changing fuel pump…." because you really don't show how to change the pump in this video as your title suggest.

MrPura_Vida says:

Do I have to remove the tank just to change the pump or can I just lower the exhaust and get the pump out?

John Degollado says:

He does not know what hes talking about at all. Sorry ass

Tiger Cry says:

Ford just quoted $1200 to replace. I left my car in another state. I fly back. I am buying a good jack and stands and tools to do this myself. I know I can do this. It is only a question of time. Which I hope turns out well.

Majid Sultani says:

What a bulshit you need to show the tank a little away. So come to know where is tank

Jerry Green says:

As stated in another comment you don't have to cut anything to replace this fuel pump. Connector can be reached from passenger wheel well. I used a long screw driver to unplug it and pushing it back together. This is a simple change and do not have to move exhaust to replace fuel pump.

Hondo Stone says:

What is that black box at the .25 second mark with the holes and some tubes coming out of it at the rear of the vehicle?
Mine is hanging a bit as whatever was holding that one end rusted off.
Please let me know!
Thanks ever so much my friend!

Tacoma SRT5 says:

My fuel pump has 2 plugs one with 6 connectors one with 3.
What is the one with 3

Robby Jones says:

On Ford, you need the OEM number on the sending unit before ordering the sending unit. It depends if it has electronic cluster, trip odometer, and so forth.

BumperLess G says:

Just did the same thing but I wanna know which way the fuel pump goes back on . There is an arrow on it I wanna know which way it’s supposed to face

Chris Doe says:
