108? Not 105 or 110…., 108 ft lbs. Wonder how GMC came up with that one
🙂 Good job as usual. Odd to see a control arm that isn’t sprung. In
the old days before struts, you would have had to get into that coil
spring, always a scary deal for me…

zx8401ztv says:

Great job chris :-)), you made it look sooooo easy 🙂

Stupid manufacturers, clearance does matter, they want a kick in the butt
lol.

Im sorry to repeat myself but your so good at making excellent clarity
videos, enough information to get the job done, plus great tips for
difficult situations :-))

Shame you put that locktight on the bolt, i bet it was back out 10 mins
later for the next video lol.

RedTeamWolf says:

My boots are deteriorated on my b4000 on my upper control arms, but there’s
0 play and can still see plenty of greese since it never rains in Texas.
I’ll replace them eventually, but i need new rear tires and a windshield.
But the control arms look like a quick job

job. Your taking over Eric the car guys spot. He’ not making videos like he
used to.

Great video as always.
Would it be possible to quickly show how you diagnose the problem before
disassembling?
For instance, how did you know the control arm needed replacement.
Thanks for all the work!

SilentServiceCode says:

hope the very next thing you did was take the wheel off and replace that
balljoint

lefty3512 says:

I know that in all your videos you use the torque wrench. So do I need to
buy a book for torque specs. Or how do I find out what torque does the part
need? I dont want to buy a new book for every car that I buy.
