The BMW E46 giveaway car is getting closer and closer, Ive been overwhelmed with fine tuning all of the little details, like these dang convertible top linkage covers, but in todays video we fix that.
This video will break down how the sliding covers work, what parts I used to fix it, and the exact step by step details of how I did it!
We will remove both rear door panels, pull off the upper trim forward of the convertible top, replace them, reassemble, and test for proper operation.
I hope you enjoy todays video, and if you did, dont forget to subscribe and check out some of the links below! 🙂

just changed a batwing on my 05 325ci convertible. thanks you to and others made "easy" to DIY. Gotta do my pax side now as the shop rigged it in a way that caused it to break. But this video for the linkage covers makes me wanna double check mine. Thanks again!

I entered for your very first giveaway and for this one, and it says you can’t enter twice!
Can’t wait to see that f30 build
There are two different style of those flaps. One uses just a bare spring the other uses that plastic rod. I believe the older style was with the rod.
The pov is cool but a little shaky at times. Big screen ftw
Great progress, Alec. Cheers.
