Every time I shut off my 2013 1.6 it leaks coolant behind I already had to replace the overflow hose before it was not that hard but this one looks tricky
Great video, my daughter just got a 2014 have you had a turbo leak, she gets white smoke on start up but not all the time.
man I had a bad head gasket on mine and swapped it but still have leak. just after I did the oil change. try and get it back on the road but still saw the leaking im gonna try and document some of the tips you just gave in the video. thanks for the tips
13 escape cylinder head temp couldn't get the code to go away cleared codes ran the idle up for two minutes now it seems fine.
Is that under the battery?Because the steam is on mine is coming out by the battery
Thanks for your detailed video. I have a 2018 escape that only has 40,000 miles on it and I spotted some coolant drips in the snow yesterday. I keep this car in pretty much show room condition (including the engine bay) and I never expected to have issues this early in the vehicle’s life. I guess this is a sign of the future.
Mine is 2013 escape. Had a slow leak for awhile like once a week adding coolant. Now its running out right away. Had to tow home yesterday because car wouldn't let us drive. Got home, filled completely with antifreeze. Took like a 6 minute drive and other than smoke from under hood coming out the car didn't shut off again. Checked this morning and completely empty filled to full, drove about 10 mins to the store, seen a puddle under car so headed home and over heated again and made me shut it off again. Under passengerside looking from front looks like someone is showering under the passenger side of car. Went to refill once cooled down and seems to be running out soon as I put it in. Car not running. Any advice?

Ford told me I need to replace the coolant stand pipe but I can't find any videos on that. When I fill the coolant tank there is a leak on the passenger side. Did you have this issue?
I believe I have a leak in the plastic T on the Oil cooler. It was wet, but after wiping clean and running it didn't get wet again. All other hoses are dry, as well as waterpump. Gonna have to get a pressure tester.

The dealership wants $2300 to fix 4 heater hoses. I feel like I’m being ripped off so gonna take the car to another mechanic and hopefully they’ll charge way less.

Hi do you have a part number for the 3way hose? Just need from outlet flange to the solenoid and to the heater core hose, shouldn't need the one going to the firewall.

The orange coolant is very corrosive. Switch to yellow coolant as soon as possible.
Do you know if this temp sensor thing is also an issue with the 2.0 L? I brought my 2013 escape 2.0 to the shop to get a coolant flush, and they told me there is about a 50/50 chance it would cause the car to go into limp mode and then they’d have to replace the stand pipe flow sensor at a cost of over a grand. I’ve heard of this issue but only seen it on the 1.6 l…
With the 14 models anyone get the coolant issues resolved with Ford recalls? I bought mine almost 4 years ago used and now have seen coolant drop three times over a few months.
I have a 2014 Ford Escape bought it with 130,000 miles on it and have replaced almost all water hoses already and am currently loosing water again into the cab passenger side floor. any ideas where it could come from? i never been able to see it leak but parking over night and would see a lot of coolant on floor in the the morning
I had a persisitant coolant leak for years, one day I took ot to my grampa's, we jacked up the car, and before I could stop him his 80 year old ass as under their looking for the leak. Literally less than a minute later he found a metal hose clamp that had stripped itself and we replaced it, I joked his hands were divining rods. Unfortunately though I'm gonna need his magic again, as after 6 months of running good the coolant started leaking again. And this time with the bonus of the coolant cap breaking apart from the spring portion! Thanks for the vid though, you've now filled up my afternoon with all these places to check and maybe rid myself of this damned coolant leak for good!
