appreciate it im not dropping the tank its an old car. its easy to fiberglass and paint once done to keep fumes out etc… car manufactures make it so hard by not putting access panel. Your video makes it easy to mark where to cut and i also will pray to Jesus
Its kinda common to do this on older rides or trucks, just get sheetmetal and hammer the shape so ot molds around and silicone that new cover down or run your own bolts through it, problem solved.
I did that in an Astro van. It had carpet down. The next time the pump went out it took all the 15 minutes to change it. My suggestion would be to put an overlaying piece of sheet metal over it and caulk that down good.
Great Idea! I can’t wait to start cutting! Saturn fuel pump.

How can I do this and not risk starting a fire/igniting the gas with a spark? I was thinking of running a trickle of water as I"m cutting the hole.
Best way to mess the interior of a car. Let’s cut a hole right above the fuel tank. You will never get rid of that smell.

Now the car will forever smell like gasoline.
