Maybe this is a stupid question so forgive me but on the negative terminal, why do you unhook the cord and then take the piece off the terminal? Couldnt you just unhook the negative with the cord connected?
You’re the man
Appreciate you brother! Just changed my wife’s battery today in under 15 minutes lol.
Saul wasn’t Jewish
Thanks for posting this. I have a 2022 Fiat 500x which is same under the hood. Did you have to do any re-programming afterwards? Thanks again!
Omg thank you!!! I have this setup in my 2017 jeep renegade and I wasn’t sure if that was a full disconnect or not and couldn’t find anything to explain this.
Old curmudgeon here…when I looked at the battery on my wife's Renegade I was loke: WTH is all that stuff?!?.
Thanks for the video, otherwise I'm sure I would have unbolted all kinds of things I didn't need to mess with.
Great job, never had a battery like this.
This video saved me hundreds in towing costs, not to mention paying the dealer for installation. I watched another self help for the same topic and it was awful and about made me give up before I found this one! About an hour to take battery out (mostly because of the other video) and 30 minutes to re-install.
what pain the ass battery change. who got fired inventing this crap
Anyone replace the negative terminal before ? My daughter’s negative terminal like this one keeps moving around and getting loose causing the car to go dead. I feel like there should be some
Sort of safety mechanism or bracket to keep that piece down.
I've been struggling with a prolonged and difficult battery issues. hope you can help me with these questions: What year and trim is your renegade? Are you using an AGM battery? My 2016 jeep renegade has three wires that connect to the negative battery post connector. I need to replace the connector on mine. Can you tell how thick the pole-like part on the connector is on the one you show in your video, so I can know if my wires will fit on to it? because I don't think I can, at least not easily or inexpensively, change the negative battery post wiring to the type you have.
Thank u now can u help with how to rest the locks the key fob is not working like something needs programming
Excellent job all around! Thank you!!!
Big help thank you!
Do you know if they sell the negative terminal anywhere or on Amazon?
Thanks so much for your video, helped me a lot. I have one question: any tips for getting the strap back on? I have an aftermarket battery and i couldnt meet the metal part up with bolt…
Don't you reprogram the computer when you replace the battery .What do you then.
Well done!! Very straight forward and easy to follow. Thank you for posting!!
You should add Fiat 500X tags for this video because it's the same. I have a 500x and there are no videos on how to do this. That battery controller unit I wasn't sure how to take off. Thanks for the video.
What year renegade is that?
