most old cars you mean . you should see newer generation cars , they are
all cable operated ,no more good old scisor style regulators . Had the
pleasure to work with a few ,passat,alfa 147,pug 306 ,pig of a job ,
stinkin’ plastic pulleys go like crazy on those ,they are simply terrible .
Did, Luke ask you about this? Because our regulator just broke and he tried
fixing it the other day…there is now tape over the window because he
failed and the window won’t go up, haha.
Hmmm, It’s possible that either the contact points in your switch are
bad/corroded on the “unlock” side, the wiring has a short, or the
motor/actuator is actually bad. I hate to say it, Jodi, but there’s no real
obvious way of knowing until it’s taken apart.
Yes, I have had to deal with a few myself and they just do not stand up to
the stress.
how do you fix your car lock? my driver side lock only locks doors, it does
not unlock. wondering if there is an easy way to fix? i have a 1990 toyota
camry.
Nice video! It was really helpful. Thanks.
Hahaha, no but that’s weird because while I was working on this my neighbor
randomly came up and asked me to fix their regulator… Well shoot, it
looks like I should come over there. Did he get a replacement one?
