Bill Miller says:

Bill Miller says:

What camshaft did you end up using and HEI system? Thanks

Yafo, Is says:

So do you run the oil pump some, with them all loose so it can load or fill the lifter up with oil first before setting?
There is always the oil drain back – bleed off issue that needs to be addressed and monitored in this procedure.
I am aware of it yet other might overlook that imperative steps.

Kevin Folsom says:

Hi Mike, Can you tell me how much piston to valve clearance is allowed on a 400 with .462/.470 Cam lift? Should I be concerned about clearances? Comp Cams says .100 and no less than .080. Measured with heads installed? Possible?

Werewolf486 says:

Spin the push rod till you feel the drag increase, not till it stops. That should remove the play. Then adjust lash.
