Thanks for a very clear and simple demo. Thank you for making it. I am a novice at cleaning out my unit but I will try even if I have to view the video several times.

Ashley Retchko says:

This video saved me from getting evicted. Long story short, I rent. Landlord was informed multiple times of leaking unit. 36 days straight with zero help from landlord. Finally got tired of it causing my wood floors to wilt and found this video. 20 minutes to fix. Thank you so much.

Raymond Choo says:

How did you reassemble the drip tray? This part is impossible to fit in, especially on the right side.

Raymond Losier says:

We did not see how you removed the blower fan…would have been great to see "the whole process" of its removal…

Sourav Biswas says:

The blower wheel design is horrible imho, should be as easy as the filter to remove. All the mold mildew collects on the wheel and is blown in the room.

Spkz says:

Title should be how to remove Mitsubishi MSY….. cover and vanes.

Magr G says:

Thanks for saving me $$$. Easy to follow tutorial. What soap can you use to remove the grungy material on the fins?

Bean Roddengerry says:

5 minutes in, and you're still saying what we're going to do. Do something, already!!

Frank Conolly says:

Excellent video. Definitely cut the service time in half. No guesswork. I ended up totally removing the drip pan. Made cleaning much easier.

GLEP says:

Mabuhay! Is your wall unit aligned? Maybe water is standing and mold forming because the trough isn't emptying fast enough. My wall unit looks very similar and allows for a drain at each end which is easier than repositioning the whole thing.

John Woitena says:

which setting do most of you use.  if I set it on dry, the room gets into the low 60'sF and humidity drops great.  if I leave it in AC and set it at around 74F, the humidity usually stays high around 65 to 70%.  Which is cheaper to run? It is a Mitsubishi just like his in a small room

What is the role of the sponge in the condensate collection vessel? Most users remove it when cleaning

Real cleaning starts @ 4:47

Matt Lamon says:

You kind of forgot to show the most difficult part of the work ie: removing the blower fan

Andrew Lavadour says:

Thanks for the video, this was greatly helpful. My units performance was suffering (the wall unit!). It started to sound off. I think the condensation drain was plugging a little and the tray was retaining water. The higher humidity seemed to be sticking to the fan causing dust to accumulate in great amounts. Cleaned it off and it's working great! I'd like to propose that the drain hose should be vacuumed from the exterior at the same time one cleans the filters to aid in keeping the drain clear. It would be worth a shot. It's easy to do and could keep the unit happier between larger cleanings.

Steen Pedersen says:

Thanks. I have 2 systems in my house and the one of them is spitting out dirty stuff on the floor 🙂 I think I will try this myself.
The other has a fanmotor making some noise. I think it has to be changed with the new one.

Gary BRUN says:

Just thought I would leave a comment to thank you for taking the time to make this video. Greetings from Norway!

Jonathan Wolfe says:

Anyone knows how can I completely remove the condenser coil for extra cleaning? Thanks!

Sarah Fix says:

Thanks – I had no idea how filthy ours was inside! We managed to get it apart and back together perfectly. Thanks for going into so much detail.

MEfoo says:

I have a leaking problem but i dint think its a cleaning issue. My unit is leaking but from behind the fan. The drain pan only catches from the front part
