Nope, I won't buy a newer vehicle of any type with Direct Gas Injection. If the piston rings start to wear, the increased pressure of this type of fuel injection forces gasoline into the engine oil. Not good. Then there is the above subject of the valves not being cleaned by the gasoline along with carbon buildup.
DRIVE THEM HARD!!!! Wind them out once in a while!!!!
