Here in germany we have "plenty" of reliable Turbo R8 which are basically Gallardo/Huracan motor's so i see no reason to not turbo them. I think you would have possibly spent less time making the turbo build work well.

Could try to revert the clock (a few years) on the BIOS on the XP laptop. Please do NOT connect that baby to the internet! Just go into the bios and revert the clock a few years. Sometimes that used to work with older software.
