Excellent call on Freddie Nelson, once know as “Fred the Shred” for his amazing guitar skills. His album with Paul Gilbert shows off his range, which he can pull off live. Also check out the the band “Too Tall Jones” . There are a few things there that you may think is the other Freddie.
Kick out the Jams….
I don’t have an answer to your question. The person would have to be a great power singer, great songwriter, great music composer, great music arranger, great pianist, the greatest rock frontman. And none of the five you listed have all of the categories I mentioned and I can’t think of anyone outside your five.
So as of today, Dec. 2010, I guess my answer would be ‘none of the above’.
I think it would seem awkward having a young singer perform with the remaining members of Queen, who are old enough to be pensioners. May and Taylor are in their sixties (May was born in 1947, Taylor in 1949) and Deacon (born in 1951) has expressed no interest in returning to Queen. I think May and Taylor had the right idea in not trying to duplicate the original Queen w/ the addition of an imitator. That being said, I wouldn’t mind replacing Paul Rodgers w/ David Bowie, who might gel better
robbie williams would be a good choice! or the leadsinger of the darkness but i dont know if gary mullen is a good choice!not because he isnt a good singer, i think it would be strange to see someone acting like freddie with the other real members! and i think that would be also strange for brian and rog! but nice video QUEEN ROCKS
Ill go with Adam Lambert, cuz he seems to fit the personality and I think would bring a new feel and allow Queen to try new things, but yeh no one will ever replace Freddy
i watched the video and i think your choice of number one was as good as queen could get BUT if Queen wanted to make a comeback they would have to do it with someone well known as they would be up to the same calibre as what Queen ussually performs at, thats the reason they took the guy from Free because although he didnt sound anything like Freddie he was well known to the type of crowd that appreciates Queens music.
Tom Chaplin from Keane. Have you heard him sing it’s a Hard Life. It’ll give you goosebumps!
No one can replace Freddie. He was not only a singer. He was one of the best composers of modern music, if not the best.
Freddie Nelson

What about Greg Finsley?
No one can replace Freddie. The end
Noone, but plenty who could take his side or do something like Dread Zeppelin does. Or do covers.
No one .
so besides my 5 choices, you have any idea?

i repeat noone can replace him man!
i dont think it rlly matters wat they look like. its rlly if theyve got the voice and charisma, which gary mullen has both of.
ok then, who would u choose to tour with the remaining members?
OH COMMON! like i said in the video, who would u choose to tour with the remaining members!

imposible! noone in this land can replace freddie ! he is unique! its like find a replacement for maradona in the year 1986.!
Now THAT video would be awesome!
i made one called “Thoughts On Supergroups” and i’m thinkin of ideas for my next video like this called “Cover Songs That Beat The Original”

he was actually among the first 3 i considered to appear on this list (along with adam lambert and mika). but then i found others tht topped him
Wht about the lead singer of The Darkness.
Did that band break up-
THE DARK KNIGHT!!!!
I’d rather clone Freddie Mercury diarrhea-breath.
IF U HAD TO CHOOSE COCKBAG!
Chuck Norris could replace him…
mika is heavily influenced by freddy, i thinkg gerrad way from MCR would be a good fill in the black parade is very heavyily queen
The greatest band ever!!!
I did watch the whole fuckin video asshole, and none of them would be worthy of replacing Freddit.
Adam Lambert sucks.
