In this video I’m fixing the flex pipe, this car sounded like an airplaine lol and now it’s alot smoother. I ordered a new one, but it”s getting here in about 2 weeks( Ebay ).
I used 3 feet of Titanium Header exhaust heat wrap for the first layer and about 5 feet for the second layer wrapped with metal mesh
Oh the name of the mesh = Titanium Header Exhaust Heat Wrap ๐
I fixed today and I will post results in 7 days ๐ around 3 April to see how it’s holding ๐
This was a temporary fix, and it lasted about 3 weeks until i installed a complete new Bosal y flex pipe ๐

Exhaust will leak through that. Should have sealed it first.

Smear the old one with a good layer of silicon rubber and then wrap something around it ant it will stand all the heat. I have used silicon to glue the fire brick into a fire place and it lasts forever. It will stand up to almost red heat.
Do not buy the stuff on Amazon go directly to the website cuz they are selling fake products on Amazon

At the end of the day…it will cost you more to get it fixed…the internals will rust out and then the wrapping will just fall apart. Just replace the flex joint with a new one.
0:42 itโs called titanium heat wrap and it sucks. It has a temperature rating around 800 Fahrenheit while your manifold has a temperature around 1200 Fahrenheit. Itโll work for a couple weeks and then Iโll burn off. The whole time youโll be wondering whatโs that burning smell.
i can sell a totally new one for you in $10.
i used like tin can material but bigger coffeecan on small flex so big it went at least two circles or more cut inch or two in ends with finger wide space between cuts so can can come down on ends and it worked today in the way l wanted , the power of car is more cos backpressure is better. but how long to melt the can dunno cos it leaks a bit , but small leak is better for gas milage , cat seems too tight.
U can buy one for $30… Smh
This wont stop the leak at all. You'll be amazed how exhaust fumes will find a way out. Tried a wrap myself and it blew through it.
