Hi Tony, I’m having a problem with my digital gas gauge. It just blinks on E. Sometimes it lights up completely but doesn’t give me an accurate reading. It’s an 88 SS. What do you think?

@roseanntrotta911 says:

Wow another Great Video Mr. Tony with more tips. We loved watching you replace the motor and you make it look so easy. We loved the tip on taking the pressure off the motors a bit when rolling them up. That makes sense as it seems like it would be easier on the motor. We have done that to all of our vehicles now to make sure the motors last a long time. Take good care and please keep up the great videos. Roseann & Dan

Tony, too bad you didn't have a step drill with you…. you coulda made that hole a bit bigger to to remove the bolt & washer !

Tony I have 51 years of experience as a professional mechanic and it's nice to see someone else work. The 23km 88 TC I'm purchased for my friend is closer to being completed. I'll flush the coolant, change the T stat and find the A-C leak.

@michaelpfaff6009 says:

A little off topic, but I have always believed that you should never slam a door shut so you don't damage any of the wiring, connections, power window and power mirror motors, etc. So many controls on my 2020 Continental driver's door. Are all the workings in doors robust enough to handle slamming or am I overprotective? I hate someone slamming my doors!!! Not to mention my doors release electronically!! So many things on these doors!!!

Absolutely a WONDERFUL video.
I've been watching your channel for a while now, and learned so many things about my 1989 Lincoln town car Signature Series Gucci addition.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and keep the videos coming Mr. Tony.
God bless you and your family.

Another EXCELLENT video!

@david-wilkerson1967 says:

They could change the name of the Duralast power window motors to “quick draw “power window motors? They are quick!

@david-wilkerson1967 says:

Another great video, it always feels like I’m really there when I’m watching the video, and you’re directly talking to us, no matter what you’re doing, always has a good outcome, usually always gets fixed, Always have a feeling of satisfaction after watching your videos , it’s like watching a sporting event where your team always wins

@stevenboll322 says:

Theres a mixture of old rebuilt cores and newly designed window motors on the market what threw me off was that the gear was half as wide as the old motor I had some trouble putting the newly designed one in the front of 88 tc as well but it worked out ans also tony im waiting patiently for you to part out your parents car no rush whenever you can im interested in the white leather interior and always enjoy the videso man!

@Arthur-sz7uf says:

Hey Tony, last time I replaced torque pins on mine, I noticed the motor sounded louder and the cadence was not an even sound. Apparently the torque pins were a little oversized and stretched the plastic gear. After that time, I make my own torque pins.

@Arthur-sz7uf says:

If the motor still works before I remove it, I never do it with the window fully up or fully down. This relaxes tension between motor and regulator. I install it without bolts, and after seated, I put some dielectric grease on the head of the bolt so it can stay attached to the socket, and then I fish it in.

@smokeysmoke_719 says:

Let me know if you're parting out any lincoln towncars

@ShelterCats says:

New vids from you always make me happy.

@melvinharris7859 says:

Another great video Tony. My '89 is going to be needing the front window motors replaced soon. They are slow and very loud, even after lubricating the tracks (Before, they would hardly move) This video will come in handy when the time comes.
