this is a very common thing that I do often at my shop. these alternators used to be about 80 bucks, but recently they’ve gone to about 105/110 bucks. it’s a one wire alternator that pops out 60 amps. perfect for any vintage car. it’s modeled after the GM alternator delcatron. I’ve never had an issue with one of these, I pretty much put one on every Hot rod or classic that I own. no need for voltage regulators etc. and it has a little stud on the back for a charge light if you desire. bolts right into place of pretty much any GM alternator. but very easy to adapt to most Ford applications. the face of the alternator to the center of the belt is almost The identical distance with a Ford style alternator, so no problem there. just got to drill out the big ear and make a spacer. after that, I just run a 4 gauge wire to the battery and call it good
Can….can you just flip it
