@02DDP says:

Crank case pressure. Installing an oil catch can will reduce the amount of oil entering the intake. Had the same issue with my pontiac g8 6.0 engine.

@kaptainbizzle says:

Means nothing. Pcv and regular crank case pressure has some oil mist. That’s clean oil too, normal and means nothing

@brandonslacy says:

Everybody saying normal. Yes normal for these engines, good no, should clean upper cylinders often with a solvent to keep carbon deposits down. Could be costly if not upkept correctly.

@nateskelly704 says:

Run a catch can but it’s pretty normal depending on your mileage the more mileage the more wear on your pistons. And the more blow by.

@eric63377 says:

Typical but if there's puddles = Bad pcv, bad oil separation, or to much pressure in the crank case.
There are other reasons but they are very rare as you would have other symptoms.

@mikeworthy2711 says:

It's Kia

@smokeybear390 says:

that's normal, especially in direct injection engines, just oil from the pcv, kias burn oil notoriously, as long as its not smoking
every intake I've ever pulled has had some oil residue and carbon build up
