=============================================

I have been having weird problems with my Jeep ever since going down to Oregon Jeep Jamboree. My windshield wipers would come on and stay on, the alarm would go off when I unlocked the Jeep, my dash would freak out and restart, brake lights stay on while driving, and some other random problems.

After a lot of research, I decided I would replace the TIPM ( Totally Integrated Power Module ) as this is a very common set of symptoms for when there is a TIPM issue. I found a great company in California called Mak’s TIPM Rebuilders.

2019 Jeep Wrangler Sport Unlimited JL. – (High mileage)
1st issue: Start/Stop warning light and Jeep limped out.

Ran codes/outcome: 4 codes – pointing at O2 Sensor.

A local Jeep shop offered to help me and said they: put new sensors in, did tune-up, cleaned fuel injector, replaced air filter and Jeep seemed better but only a short time.

Long and short:, lots of warning lights came on and eventually it disabled the auto park and I couldn’t put the Jeep in drive.

I was stuck for 27 hours in the heat. Somehow by opening the driver’s door and shutting it with the Jeep running the “drive” light went off and I hurried and threw it in drive and took it to my mechanic friend and we had to wait 2. Hours to even open the hood it was so hot.

Jeep dealership said for $149 they’d run codes and diagnose it.

They ran codes, erased them, stole 2.5 hours of my life and my $149.

NO HELP! They said bring it back and leave it for a few days and they’d start changing out stuff and figure it out.

NO THX!! And the more I thought about that $149.00 the more I want it back!

After weeks and weeks of all this: ABS, Traction Control light, MIL, etc. plus every service code thrown: from serving the shifter to stability control, to transmission to the wipers coming on.. the Jeep “stopped” doing anything at all. It’s like it’s dead.

Off-road Nomads in Blue Springs, MO didn’t do any of the repairs and replacements that they said they did. DO not go there for anything under the hood.

Today I’m receiving a new TIPM and praying to Jesus that’s what it is because my life’s fallen apart not having the money to continue to throw away attempting to figure it out as a consumer when the professionals don’t have a clue.

We are using this video to replace it ourself today. *praying I’ll have a vehicle again

Where to get this part for 2007 jeep wrangler

LARRY GOURLEY says:

I'm having problem with wipers on continuous, lights on continuous, gauge cluster totally dead. I replaced tipm from MAK rebuilders. Still have same problem. Any ideas?

David Smith says:

my 2012 wrangler is in the shop my blinker went out. but after they said they fixed it my tight blinker became my fog light and on the left side its still the original blinker and the shop says that it wasnt their fault that its my tipm and now they want to charge me again to replace it but i think they are playing me …wat is your opinion

Adelina Lyons says:

Would this cause no crank no noise? Not even fuel pump to engage? Had a bad alternator, mechanic replaced it and now it won’t start. Got code for tipm on scanner or pcm. All relays and fuses are good starter bypass cranks the starter but nothing when key is turned. How can I get this started? 2010 Jeep wrangler

Johnny Ortiz says:

Tobi Yarbrough says:

Does this solve the problem or do the aftermarket TIPMs eventually go bad again?

JayVee says:

You think it may have anything to do with that yellow top optima? I have the same battery for 6 months now and now my tipm is fried

Convertibenz says:

thanks for vid. i did this without any info just by looking at the connectors and the green one was hard to remove but since this video i now know it just needs to be wiggled – didnt want to break any piece. also thanks for naming it TIPM – ive seen some videos call it PDC (power distribution ctr) or fuse box but if i am to replace it doesnt show. just need yo clear that space for awhile, need some gutting of cables. great vid i recommend

jen cook says:

Hey Casey
I’m wondering how did this TIPM work out for you? I’m thinking of getting one from Mak’s

Jimmy Campbell says:

Great video! I bought a reman TIPM from Mak’s as suggested and followed this step-by-step. Definitely saved me a ton of cash and took about 30 minutes (I was following along with the video). Thank you!!!

Sonny Mendoza says:

I give you a like for informative video. But man that TIPM is really a joke for putting that on a vehicle when its only switch. Japanese says keep it simple sweety. Jeep or dodge says lets make it hightech for nothing. Emgineers clapped their hands

Elite Nation says:

Jeeps sucks. I hated mine. I torched the MF
