The sell a adapter in the auto parts store that you connect to the
cigarette lighter with a 9 volt battery, it will hold all of your radio
stations & if you have a computer controlled car, it holds those setting
too.
You failed to tighten down the positive post clamp completely, but you were
just trying to show people how to do it, & not complete the job.
You do know that brass if that is solid brass will corrode faster (it turns
green) Stainless steel would have been my choice..
The sound effects were ridiculous. Really threw my attention off first
couple times. However it was funny enough and still an informative video.
It helped.
Only took ONE beer to do this? There is TWO terminals, should have ONE beer
for EACH, that way when you screw up somehow, you don’t worry about it.
Seriously, I can’t find brass terminals around here, but I must agree,
those are far more better than the shit that comes ‘factory’ that you
replaced. This comment may be a little late, but I hope you had a lot of
good weekends since then & a few more beers. CHEERS & Thanks for putting
your time into this. I found it interesting, although I know how to replace
them, it was fun to watch someone else do it.
I’m sure it’s the other way around, when removing battery terminals “remove
negative first”, and when connecting terminals “connect negative last”. If
not possible short of electrical and/or shock to yourself.
Very helpful video. Have to do this job myself on a 1999 honda v6 coup
tomorrow. Wasn’t very confident as I didn’t know what to expect. So
outstanding advice and visuals. *thumbs up*
Man, this is by far the best HOW TO video i’ve ever seen. If you don’t have
one of those you can use one of these. You just stick that on there like
that and twisted around a couple of times and clean off your hooks a
majigger or whatever you wanna call it. Thanks Mater!
great video, but red is positive and black is negative. Therefore you DID
do the positive side first. For safety reason you SHOULD connect the ground
terminal first.@RednecksGoneWild
Do the two positive wires have to be kept separate as in your video? I mean
if for some reason you had to could you have stripped the ends off twisted
them together and just put it into the terminal the same as you did the
negative?
Why the fuck are my terminals different I dont have a bolt for the clamps
on my battery wires instead they are crimped so tight I might cut the wires
but my wires are too short….bullshit what should I do? How do I pry the
clamps off?
@dawhitecastle some people do it like that , but it is safer for the
delicate electronics to be Grounded before the hot wire is added . Alot of
newer cars have very sensitive computer componets.
