Travis Gelinas says:

rich i have a 25 mm box wrench…. nice video good job

zx8401ztv says:

So good to have pullers and a press to hand, makes it so much nicer to do
the job 🙂 As usual you make it look like a walk in the park 🙂

richpin06a says:

Sorry about that if i knew you had a lathe i would have gave you the specs
on the tool.

ManicMechanic007 says:

Great camera work and attention to detail. Top notch job Rich. Again, you
make it look so easy.

Omar Chisolm says:

great job rich. i wish i had the equip u have. will make life easier.

scotrail1 says:

BTW OUTSTANDING opening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

spelunkerd says:

I’m glad to see a pro do this, rather than just replace the whole unit.
Bravo! I did this on my Dodge Ram and did a video to help others. It was a
little more work than I expected it to be, but everything turned out OK.
Most of my difficulty was finding the right parts, since there are many
designs even from the same manfacturer.

Risto Savic says:

Everything is OK self extracting bearings from the pulley without tools is
wrong percent pulleys that can jump out of the center and that it is
damaged.

richpin06a says:

The one i used was Astro Pneumatic 7886 A/C Compressor Clutch
Installer/Remover Kit.

Risto Savic says:

Sve je OK samo vadjenje lezaja iz remenice bez alata nije uredu posto
remenica moze da iskoci iz centra i da se osteti.

Derek Hummel says:

The bearing you used appears to be an old Saturn front wheel bearing?

twolungking says:

cant you just replace the pulley with a new bearing inside seems like a lot
of extra work grinding those rivets down just to install the bearing
inside. Just saying for the do it your selfer.is the pulley really
expensive or something ? I dont get it. I really like your videos by the
way.

dgr8zod says:

That’s the same AC pulley puller set I have. Made replacing the coil on
the compressor in a ’97 Sunfire SO much easier..

richpin06a says:

The bearing is $20.the clutch setup with bearing is $150.

matthew newsome says:

HI nice video, I am currently trying to replace a very similar type of
clutch and pulley, and Im having trouble sourcing a a/c removal tool, the
kits retail here at about £30-£100 but I only need the removal too as I
have bought a complete second hand a/c pump and intend to swap the bearing
and pulley assembly ( it was cheaper) what is the removal tool called and
what are the dimensions or exact description of the tool as I dont want to
pay for a full kit , Any help would be great Thank you

kalashnikovia says:

I always wondered what the heck was in there.

matthew newsome says:

Thank you for the info, I had some help but managed to make one using a
laithe, and a couple of old bolts.

jammal jammaly says:

very very very good

ARMA TWERKN says:

YOU HAVE A LOT OF SHIT IN THE WAY TO GET TO YOURS ADD ON A EXTRA 30
MINS..LOL

scotrail1 says:

You make it look so simple, that is the difference when you are dealing
with a professional. Just had an idea, you could open a store and have
people come in wiht their cars and you direct them to make the repairs,
everyone wins!

Kyle P says:

Oh rich has a press. ik who Im contacting next time i need one. jk or am I?
Lol

CHIBA280CRV says:

Hey Rich nice work, and very informative! Thank you for the video,, it
would have been nice to hear the noise bearings running , because I think I
might have the same problem. No big deal I will search YouTube for a noisy
bearing. Oh yeah Awesome intro and credits..

twolungking says:

Im not really trying to replace the whole assembly just that pulley would
it really cost $150 dont really need the whole clutch assembly just the
pulley and bearing ?

richpin06a says:

Replacing the compressor is a viable alternative.

MrStarscream88 says:

Who’s Barron?

~ShadowCAT_9®~ says:

All the intro was missing is thebig lion roaring! Nice work I learned allot!

Steve McCabe says:

do you have the bearing part number

richpin06a says:

He’s the little guy in the video…..lol
