Jeez, I see so many people doing interior restorations then I see body/frame rust and I'm just thinking ' WHY !?! ' .. Restore the core before you worry about aesthetics

Ordinary spray glue will release in hot temperatures so best to have bought high temperature contact spray glue.

What a great build. May I suggest you put a couple of magnets in that door at the rear. Then it won't pop open from bumps. BTDT.

Carl, you're an absolute artist. That is exceptional work.

@gallagher68 says:

Out of curiosity, why would you put a 'door' on the end of the cabinet, when a drawer front would have accomplished the same thing without blocking access to the drawer until you pull past the door?

@jamesspics says:

I love the videos of the works you have done on the defences, please make more, more!!

@edrosa5079 says:

what and where did you get the plastic boxes you put in at the end of video

@charlesslack8090 says:

Carl, I came across your videos sometime ago, and watched all of them, until you dissapeared from YouTube a while back. Very impressed with the work you've shown.

@8:37
I was glad to see that while installing the metal drawer slides, it would appear that you were installing a screw into every mounting hole on both the cabinet side member and on the drawer side member. It is very important that this be done on all drawer slide installations, no mater what the application will be. If this is not done, the drawer slides will not be able to meet their advertised weight capacity, and could also void the product warranty on the slides if they become damaged.

One other thing about drawer slides, when calculating the exterior width of a drawer, you should allow 1/64" of additional clearance between the interior of the cabinet side and the exterior of the drawer side. This will help the slides to function properly. If there is not enough clearance allowed, the slides can bind against all of the moving parts and cause the slides to fail prematurely.

It is nice to see you back, and I am looking to see more of your great work!
