They need the Crown Victoria back…..as a full size sedan that gets like 35mpg on the highway.
The Maverick back in the day was a car you could get a lot a miles out of,however any vehicle Ford produces today with a turbo turd motor,you can count me out I don`t want any of their TURBO junk, I have a 2007 Ford fusion SEL v6 3.0, best car I ever have had, ( owned 13 yrs now ). Furthermore I don`t want aTURBO from any manufacturer.
There was an SUV called Maverick sold in Europe.
It’s amazing that over in the US Toyota and hondas are worth lots of money….. across the pond in the UK it’s Audi bmw Mercedes that are expensive cars….. nobody really buys Toyotas or hondas so I guess that’s why they are CHEAP over here

I know what a maverick is and could have had one for $500 it had a souped up engine deep dish wheels and a floor shifter but I was not realizing that I had a permit and let it that chance pass by
Scotty ford already used maverick name in Australia it was rebadged nissan patrol and Europe it was rebadged nissan terrano. I think in those years nissan made good 4×4 and suv.
My grandfather's last car was a Ford Maverick, I thought it was beautiful and I shopped for one when I became of driving age.
1970 Maverick's were good but that was 50 years ago. I know, because I owned one but I'm 70 so not sure which demographic Ford is aiming for by bringing back the Maverick name.
From what i was told, it's a compact truck based on the Escape platform. Supposedly, it has the same Ecogerbil engines and the same AWD system as the Escape. Yes, it's a FWD/AWD truck. It's basically Ford's version of the Ridgeline. The Maverick is to the US what other countries call the Courier.
