@chtis Summers
Yes, usually it’s the rear mount and you would probably heart it louder
when you put the gear on Reverse.

@golfmanmatt
You are welcome. I agree, while you’re there it is a god idea to do other
mounts.

Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video. I was able to
take notes and plan ahead on how I was going to deal with each step. Did it
by myself but another hand would be good. Took me half a day but I believe
this job would run $700-$800 w/parts for a reputable shop to tackle. I was
able to do both the front and rear motor mounts for under $200. If there
was anything I would add would be to do both front and rear mounts while
you have the cross member removed. Both were ripped in my case. Also, you
need 1/2″ sockets for most stuff. You will never make it with 3/8″ for the
cross member bolts. Anyone with a decent knowledge should be able to
tackle this.

I have a 2000 prizm it sounds like exshaut vibrating on the frame when i
first take but its not the exshaut would rear motor mount cause that

Thank you for this video. Following your instructions to lower the cross
member helped me enormously to fit a new clutch kit on my Corolla 1.4 vvti
( year 2000). It took me about 30 hours to swap the clutch, but I don’t
think I would have been successful without your video. Many thanks once
again

that was a great video. can you please tell me how long this process took?.
are replacing front right and transmission mounts easy ?
Thanks

Aric Castro says:

Is there anyway to do this without taking out half the front end? I can get
it unbolted and almost out just buy taking a cross bar and counter balance
out of the way. The problem I have is the steering column is right in the
way of taking it out

Mig Gyver says:

remove the 2 17mm nuts and 2 17mm bolts on rack and pinion. then you can
nudge it out of the way and insert new motor mount. its a bitch and you
need an extra hand but saves you trouble of removing entire front
suspension

Sayjo Saylor says:

Thank you very much. I just paid $50 for a part, learned a skill, and saved
the $410 difference the mechanic wanted. Again, I would like to thank you
and tell you I am happy you took the time to make this video.
