What if i told you your BMW engine comes with a flaw from factory and no one told you about it. There is a part BMW should have included onto all their cars from factory but sadly decided not to. Same goes for every other auto manufacturer that makes cars that come equipped with direct fuel injection engines. Good news is that there are several aftermarket companies that make the part and is pretty easy to install at home with minimal tools.

Can I do this to my 06 325i

Eric Tapia says:

Why dont you install a smaller cowl filter so you wont have to deal with that big OEM cabin filter?

Fox McCloud 007 says:

Eventhough Toyota makes the best GDI system that I have heard of (by combining it with normal port injection and having it alternate between the two) if I had one with it I may still consider a catch can mod to futher enhance the reliability of the engine.
Hell I might even do this for my gen 1 Mustang if I deem it necessary in the future.

exaltedb says:

Nice video, I have an N55 335i with a 105k miles and this might be a worthwhile mod to keep this beast running strong

Tristan Rees says:

This is a solution on many bmw engines, like the m54 where the pcv just exploded lmao, keeps your pcv creating vacuum for the engine which helps with oil burning also

Tobii Wagner says:

I did most of your diy on my e90. Now i know whats in my car and i did it by my self. With that in your mind driving makes much more fun. Haha (sorry for my garbage english im a german bmw owner xD)

Do a give away on the vrsf exhaust you have on now when you install the new one

bmw 135i says:

Or you can add port injection from fuel-it or Phoenix intake manifold.

Levi Goukassian says:

You need heat shields for the intakes is what you need

tomas baer says:

Once you install your catch can, how often are you supposed to check the can? Do you have to remove everything again ?

Cj Lomax says:

Would love to see how much is captured after you drive it for a few hundred miles. If you get a chance .. Great vid!

EM PAC says:

Great vid! At what mileage should this be replaced?

Burnt Avocado says:

Oil catch can dont fix carbon build up. It just slows the build up after you clean it
