Is it necessary to disconnect the battery?
Excellent explanation. I have one question about the optical wire: when I replaced the wire as told, there is no sound. But when I don't install the optical cable, I've got sound through aux…and everything seems to work fine. Is this okay or should the optical wire be plugged in at all times, for other functions perhaps?
2nd, my car came with satnav but the unit seems unable to use the OEM GPS signal? With the extensions it does work. Is this normal?
