Important Note: Always ensure engine orientation does not change when installing a new engine mount.

In this video, we show a complete removal and installation of an engine mount on a Audi 8V A3. This DIY applies to a VW MK7 GTI, Golf, and Golf R as well as an Audi 8V S3.

Designed and manufactured in the USA using the finest quality materials, we have designed a Performance Engine Mount that controls fore/aft engine movement and allows for seamless power transfer to the tires all while being EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE! Wheel hop is eliminated, throttle response is improved and gear engagement is more precise.

Locking the engine in place is accomplished through two vertically captured 70A Durometer Polyurethane Bushings, encapsulated between three 6061-T6 Billet Machined Aluminum bodies using a corrosion resistant securing bolt.

Our design on the MQB cars had to be unique, as this new vehicle brought upon new design challenges. Using the same successful polyurethane material used in other chassis, our metal components were revised to fit the MQB application. Throughout rigorous long term testing we proved our design choices were successful with countless miles, hard launches and abuse, pushing our engine mounts to their limits!

Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) are minimized over our competitors due to years of product testing and development. Designed to absorb NVH while withstanding extreme driveline forces, we’ve engineered our bushings using an optimal formula and durometer polyurethane, tuning the natural frequency and preload to the forcing frequency of the engine. These are the most comfortable engine mounts we’ve ever designed and we can’t wait for you to experience them first hand!

This allows for smooth power delivery through the driveline and to the tires, all with very minimal chassis feedback to balance comfort with performance.

All machined components are constructed of strong and lightweight 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum and are then anodized black for a great appearance and corrosion resistance.

Yo the donut media dude

Aaron Thompson says:

I got my engine mounts installed now my car is vibrating like crazy ?

surf jujitsu says:

Theres only 1 mount?

Jim says:

I have 52k on my 15 S3 and my motor mounts need replacing. Thinking about the BFI mounts but I am considering the ESC ones as well. Is there a big difference in the 2?

James Glenn says:

30ftp & 90* Plus 44ftp & 90* wtf is that??? hahaha

Tom Forde says:

Kinda random but is it supposed to feel more vibration after install? Like does the poly need to break in?

Michael Cheng says:

Hi Jack from donut media.

Johnson Crefo says:

I feel like the original one that he removed is better built than the one he is putting in. Thank you however for showing us how to remove the original one, but I think the factory one is safer.

Airhog Glider says:

Plastic oil pan ftw…

Ray Thompson says:

Seems odd to me that ECS decided to not add the lateral bracing to the top of their mount (it's the first bolt they remove from the factory mount in the video at 2:08) Also, when you look at other manufacturers MK7 poly mounts, they have this lateral bracing provision present in their design. What's to keep the ECS mount from bending the frame under hard lateral loads? There has to be a good reason why the original mount was designed this way.

kipdynamite77 says:

Can you show us where you placed the jack on the oil pan? Definitely don't want to mess that part up!

San Myat Htun says:

on the top of engine mount stud/ bolt , there is a lock nut , which tool I have to use to remove it,the nut is octagonal shape.

Spinnetti says:

ermmm… the pan is plastic right? isn't that a risk of breaking it?

iambryan says:

kinda scary to install for me lol. what if i accidentally move the engine with the jack lmao

Chris K says:

Do mods like this have any effect on warranty?

truckinbobb says:

Have you done a catch can install for the MK7?

SuperDigitalMe says:

16 mm bolts 30 foot pound…. so how much NM is that?

Gregory Schwarz says:

Will this fit a 2013 2.0T Gen3 Beetle?

dovey dove says:

Would this work for 2017 VW GLI??? Need more GLI products!!!

bosnjak19 says:

I do same thing but holes doesn't line up. It's any way to fix that.

Cif Amotan II says:

And what about a dog bone insert? Shouldn't it stop wheels hopping and transfer more torque on the road? Where's the difference between there two installations?

MK7 GTI RACING says:

Still didn't explain engine mount alignment when installing, which will cause the engine to NOT be in the correct place.
