This is actual repair video of the problematic 2000-2003 Volvo dash. This is not my first attempt, I have repaired over 100 units with the same technology. There can be other faults but according to my experience this usually solves all the problems. You do need to have experience for soldering SMD components.
If your soldering looks nice and clean then it doesn’t always mean it works but if it looks ugly it most likely won’t work.

Hi I have a 2011 xc60 and the odometer/fuel display has blanked does the same soldering spots apply or are they different. Im in Australia and can’t find anyone to repair it.
Hey man i was wondering if you might be able to help fix a problem with my volvo c70(build year2000)info Panel. It only seems to work properly 15% of the time. When it doesnt it stops showing the speed the car is at and shows alot of warning signals…ive already tried swapping out the whole panel unit but that didint help.

I can do the basic soldering byt that black chip is a nono for me. I'd need a needle-thin soldering tip and a huge magnifying glass. I have 20/20 vision but i'm not trusting my sausage-finger and impatient mind with something this delicate.
