I drive an 03 jetta vr6 2.8 24v. I have an epc light. I changed my maf air flow sensor thought that was the issue now going to change oxygen sensors also fixed a vacuum leak from a weak clamp. After i changed the sensor the triangle light w an arrow came on my dash along with the epc light. Car stalls when engine gets hot and epc light came on i would pull over and let it cool down and it would start and eoc light turns off now its on completely with another warning indicator help!!!
My car is showing epc light on some time it is hide but whenever i press gas pedal it is comes and when I scan the car the show me TPS sensors error. Maybe need to change throttle body change?

Would a dirty TB cause engine jerking when cold ? Mine jerks when I first drive but fine after it warms up.

Have u tried cleaning it before replacing?

Where did you get the throttle body?
Was the engine shaking ?
do they come with gaskets?
Did you have to recalibrate the throttle body after installation?
Was that car running on limp mode and epc light on?
