I have got my 2019 Tucson and the P1326 has been coming back 3 times now especially when I go above 65 miles per hour in hilly terrain. The dealership did the bearing clearance 3 times and they said it passed. They replaced the knock sensor and reprogrammed it.But whenever I drive at above 65 it’s back again. What could be the cause , is it the regular gas I use?
So how many of you had it be a engine problem or knock sensor problem
Is it possible to disconnect the knock sensor? Our Santa Fe had the knock sensor replaced last year, and it is now putting me into limp mode without any noticeable knock.
This is FAKE NEWS! 2018 Kia soul just had engine failure tonight.
There is a service paper by hyundai that indicates the way the knock sensor wiring harness is run coule cause theis issue. The knock sensor wire runs next to injectors which is inducing a signal on the knock sensor wire. They sell a new wiring kit and have a write up on how to re-route it.
flashing check engine light came on after getting a car wash, limped it half a mile home, checked fluids and added some oil because it was a little low, topped off coolant. threw my scan tool on it, cleared the code started it back up and it was running much better after that. hopefully it doesn't return, but i believe it's fixed for now.
What kind of cost would you be looking at for a repair like this? There is a rattling noise, trouble accelerating, engine light coming on every few months, last time gave this code and was in limp mode. 2015 Hyundai elantra gt.
Hey guy we have a 2021 Tucson, knock sensor goes off every time it's ran through touchless car wash, also I left car running last week sprayed motor off , we live in a dirt road and ur was fairly dirty, funny part, dealer has cleared it 2-3 times without answers, these clowns told wife not to run through auto wash
I have sonata 2016, it had this code, took it to dealer and he said there is problem with sparkplugs etc. They cleaned the carbon buildup and cleared code. The P1326 never came back but the engine clicking noise is back when I accelerate. Anyone gone through this? Will dealer replace engine?
2019 Hyundai Sonata with this code. The mechanic I spoke to said it wasn't covered and even if it was, why bother it will just do it again…,I guess just the hybrid was covered under the recall.. Now I have a giant lawn ornament, I would feel very bad selling the piece of crap to someone else. Never again will I buy an import js
Great video!
Kia is also included
I put regular gas in an it wouldn't let me go past 2000 rpm an got it on code reader an it said nock sensor clear the code an got supreme gass in an it's working fine at the moment should I get one anyways
So, recently, 2 days back, i got oil change done, and i saw the dip stick it was above the high line.
And today my engine check light has been flashing. Its blinking not constant , so when i clicked the start button it kinda struggled to start and when i stop near signal and accelerate it looses power and the code it shows is P1326. It means konck sensor issue.
Like i dont hear any knock sound from engine its smooth and silent
What i think is cause of overfill of engine oil , the knock sensor got triggered, and the engine check is on
Do you think it might be cause of that reason , casue i can tell there is not knock sound from my engine and its smooth.
My car is 2018 Hyundai sonata
Good afternoon! My car: Hyundai Sonata Hybrid 2017 Same error. Will your video help? Should I look for something else?
vibrating no knocking what can i do
I had this code and limp mode happen on day 6 of owning my 2018 Tucson. The previous owners just had the knock sensor replaced 3 months ago. I took it to the dealer who said the knock sensor is fine, it passed the bearing pressure test, and they are now telling me it's likely a pin that is broken and they need to pull the engine out to see if that is the issue! Warranty will not cover any work because it is not a rod bearing that is causing the knock sensor to go off. In your opinion, SHOULD they have to take the engine out to check/fix this "pin'?
I just got this code and flashing check engine on 2014 Santa Fe Sport. Engine was replaced 6 months ago due to recall. Yesterday I was driving in some pretty wet and windy conditions when the flashing started but I didn't notice any loss of power. Pulled over and nothing sounded off, oil was good, gas mileage has been around 33mpg. When I went to take off again that's when I could barely get to 25. RPMs struggle to get above 1500 and when I punch it, it bounces to just above 2 and then back down. I can slowly get up to 60-65 but if there's an incline or any sort… forget about it. In an attempt to just get home on a wet Sunday night in the middle of nowhere, I listened to the advice of the parts place I pulled in for code check. They said it was fuel or catty issue and to put some cleaner in. Wasn't until I got home that I was able to look the code up myself and realize they were wrong! Anyhow, would love to hear the outcome anyone else has had with this code. Trying to get anyone on the phone from the dealership today but that is proving difficult.
The check engine light started flashing at mileage 171.000 .
The mechanic removed it with his machine from the system.
The car is back ok, but I'm wondering if this P 1326 will come back and if I could keep on driving the car ?
Should I go to the Dealer to tell this story ?
Thanks for your comments.
