I diagnose and fix a problem with the ABS on my 1999 Jetta TDI. The scan tool I used is available at http://ross-tech.com.

Make sure you click the correct module ??????
I agree with you I have two repairs per month , only thing is I can fix by
myself .There should be masive advertising against VW North America.
what is that on the hood of the car 3:01 math black
Nice video! Where did you purchase that lift?
No shame in letting an expert fix something you don’t have the skill / time
/ desire to work on!
You just buy vag-com from VCDS and their cord. It works for all vw/audi.
And if you buy from them they help you with diagnosis
I will put that Mustang up against any piss ant vw you have to offer. Out
of all the cars I have ever owned, VW is by far the worst. It should be
illegal to sell that shit in this country.
loved your ending xD
Great video ….bast£&@ cars when does any go f@cking well …. When doing
my brakes ..pads I’ve looked at these sensors and always thought I bet they
are a b@st@rd to get out …keep up doing great vids
Perhaps in your country. In the USA the sedan has always been a best
seller, so VW never changed the name from Jetta.
this is basically a golf 4 in a larger body right? if my golf 4 comes up
with another abs fault is this the way to repair it
@Iam18yearsolddddd I think it’s one of the default ones in WIndows XP
laugh.1 problem is solved got next time.i can t help you am looking for
part 2.have you tried on broken sensor wd 40 or oil lubricant
When I fist saw this link, I thought “Oh crap, I can see myself regretting
that $1,100 ABS repair being a waste…” but I was wrong…I could totally
NOT do this myself. I have a low car, no lift, no meter to connect to my
computer, no knowledge, and most importantly…no skill. LOL
great video
A little expensive for the typical home mechanic
thanks it really help me hopefully this ereases my abs problem

Hi, If you happen to have to do this removeal again, try some penatrating
spray to loosen the rust ,then maybe a little heat ,works every time for
me! Good vid !
“Ughhh, this is not going well” LMAO I give you credit I learned something
new cause I too have a abs like and this helped alot. I learned something
new today!
Yeah now your driving a piece of shit that can’t turn corners properly.
Oddly enough my Mk3 golf abs light came on and the computer also said r/h
rear sensor no signal I hope I have more joy replacing. your experiance did
make me laugh a little.
Got rid of the VW bought a Mustang, No more foreign garbage here.
abs sensor cost me 30€, diagnosis wire 12€ and vag-com freeware 0€. Not
expensive imo.
* First time you check the faults in the ABS module… two faults found. *
Then you clear the faults – they stay there… * Then you check the engine
module! Surprise! There’s no ABS faults there! Lol. You still got it later
though. 🙂
sir,YOU ARE THE MAN!!!
that’s not a jetta. it’s a bora
Cool vid how did you retro fitted the ASR
Good luck pullin it out 🙂
Same size body, but with a trunk instead of a hatch.
