Folks This is One Toyota Corolla Model you might want to avoid unless the engine has been fixed and it doesn’t burn or consume oil.
The Toyota Corolla XRS in this generation corolla came with the 2AZ-FE 2.4L engine. While that engine is actually a great engine it did come with one issue from the factory. Oil Burning because of low tension rings and an issue with the design of the piston rings.
The 2AZ-FE issues are nothing new but most didn’t know that this engine actually came in the corolla in this generation. If you are out looking for one avoid those that has this engine unless the campaign from Toyota has been done or you are ready to take care of the issue and consider it when buying the car

More Prius are involved in car chases that any other brand, and they are so stable that it is hard to "pit" them, they just keep on going. Not a wimpy car. Hi AMD, I have a 2021 Corolla and my gas pedal vibrates since I had a tire rotation, I took it back to the dealership and they said I needed a front end alignment and they rebalanced the tires but I still feel the vibration, what you think it could be?

My wife's 2014 Scion XB runs great, but burns oil like crazy. It has the 2az-fe engine. For a long time she was just going to Toyota when the maintenance light came on. That light comes on some time more than 5000 but less than 10000 miles. Now I'm replacing the oil myself every 3000 miles. She's at about 115000 miles now. I would LOVE to do the borescope on her car to inspect the cylinder walls. Yours had the ability to flip the camera around and look at the sides, etc. Can you pay a mechanic to just do the inspection, or am I better off to get my own borescope?

You should get a commission from Toyota , because I’m sure that you help sell them a few vehicles. I know you’ve convinced me to buy a 2023 Toyota. Probably a Corolla but perhaps a Camry if I have a few extra coins this spring.
