Hi sir. When changing the tranny filter and gasket. Should I apply sealant on the pan before putting on the gasket ?

happyscrub says:

Hey Car Care Nut. Thought you would enjoy watching this recent video of a 1999 Camry going 500,000 miles!!

https://youtu.be/KG4I-0kOMIE

Jim A says:

What brand of timing belt kit for the 2006 Toyota Tundra V8? Could not understand what you were saying about the brand in your video.

beri232 says:

I thought Toyota used timing chains? Our Toyota’s and Lexus’s have all had chains. After owning a Dodge that had a belt go prematurely, I make sure there’s a chain before I buy.

Joshrs97 says:

my family has a 2003 es300 that i drove throughout my teenage/college years. the timing belt was replaced at 95k miles and being broke and in college, i wasn’t able to replace it until 255k miles. i hate i had to defer it for so long, but the car is inching up to 300k miles and is perfect like the day my parents bought it

Bob V says:

I had a 2004 LS430. Ordered it without even driving one as the dealer had none on the lot. The first luxury car I could ever afford. Kept it 10 years. Ran like a top the whole time. Probably should have kept it longer. Now I drive a 2020 Highlander, also a great car.

Patrick Pierre says:

Torque specs?

Kirk in West By God Virginia says:

AMD, how does one determine if they have a counterfeit part/kit? Have you ever seen ASIN counterfeits?

Ram14250 says:

Car Care Nut: Thank you for the video. Sound was good. Suggestion, we viewers love to see and hear the end result. After you are done, we (I) want to hear the vehicle start up and run! You forgot to do that! Kind of a let down after watching the whole thing.

sunking2001 says:

Wow…what ever happened to simplicity? I'm from the "old school"…there is no way I would ever attempt to do a job like this. I guess with new technology…comes more complexities!

Thomas Griffin says:

I’m in Alabama! I watch your videos!

ptschafer says:

Great video, your knowledge of the important details: Not leaving slack on the non-tensioner side, making sure the arrows point out and not inward towards the T-marks, the plastic cover, etc… all golden information. Let's also give props to that original timing belt looking half-decent after 28 years.

Duhboi says:

I did not see you replace the cam and crank seals. Do you recommend replacing it when doing the timing belt?

khalfan 4real says:

great video but put some guard/fender covers pliz. Also that washer on tensioner pulley is to allow the the pulley to mover freely when tensioned, Not to stop oil leak.
Just had to through that outthere

Elias Haggar says:

Hitting 200,000 kilometers soon ..I got a non interfence engine 3.0L V6 DOHC 24 valves , 1st Gen sienna .never replaced the timing belt yet..no funny noises and still smooth . Can it last longer or am.i due to.replace it ? Also when replacing it . Is the AISIN made in Japan kit as good as.the kit Toyota Dealership sell? Greatly appreciate your opinion on that.
