RangerRickTV says:

My question is do you replace all the stuff wrong at this point? or get a new car?

RangerRickTV says:

This must be in a state with lots of salt on the roads.

Michal D Roosevelt says:

Pile of rust. I wouldn't put any money in to it. Just drive it until it dies. To many miles.

James Parlane says:

A Datsun 120y motor would be the thing for it.

Dennis Mayer says:

Sometimes tire pressure on awd vehicles can give some funny shaking or vibrations.

Rondell Schuyler says:

I am surprised how few car owners rustproof their cars and or trucks.

Todd bob says:

That POS car needs $5,000 in parts

Martin Mdl says:

Antifreeze, brakefluid, Trans fluid and filter, differentials, P/S fluid, should all be sucked out drained and flushed every 70 to 80K miles. No?

Avinash Lewis says:

i have a toyota Innova 2006 make, i know what you are saying

Exposing Proxy Stalking Organized Harassment says:

German, American, Korean, French, Italian, and other car brands would be long dead at 400000 miles.

Delian says:

This is very timely. I have that same shudder/vibration on my 03 Highlander with 230k miles. Im sure its the driveshaft so i plan on having that replaced soon

mplslawnguy says:

Any vehicle with 400,000 relatively trouble-free miles with the original engine and transmission still intact has been a good car. These repairs are to be expected. They're moving parts, and no moving part will last forever. However, at this stage in it's life, I wouldn't put too much money into it, like he said, there really is no way to tell how close the transmission is to failing, and the engine as well.

What is the car care nut using for his oil changes? Factory filter and oil? Our 2012 Sienna has 157k and would love to hit the 300’s plus!

Jim Harrington says:

best car show on YouTube!! Honest and so infomative.

SATAMAN Schmidt says:

How about a video on how to change an alternator on the A25A-FKS. I have AllData and they want you to remove the cold air intake, the air cleaner assembly, the EFI Vacuum Sensor assembly and half of the front end of the car and this makes no sense to me. They also have what seem to be crazy procedures that they say are mandatory if you simply change the battery which include steering system zero point relearn and memorize steering angle neutral point.

Jack Empson says:

The trick with toyota transmissions is change that transmisson fluid. No transmission has life time fluid. It's a lie. Change it every 60,000 mi. I learned the hard way.

Jack Empson says:

It's all cheaper than buy another one

Jack Empson says:

I ran my 2004 Rav over 400,000 and it was in better shape that that car. Mine had zero rust and didn't burn oil. I kept Lucus oil treatment in it always. I did have tranny probelms at 235,000. cost me 4,000. They say the transmission oil never needs changed . They were full of it. Other than that the car was very dependable. I traded it. We have only bought Toyotas and Lexus's. I'd consider a A Subaru however.
