Awesome Video
My motor is seized, and I am trying to get the second bolt loose so I can remove the timing chain that is connected to the Cam but it is not positioned properly I don’t have enough room to back the bolt free and I can’t spin the piston to get a better position because it is locked

How do I go about this ?
Thanks !

So, that oring that meets the dowel…if that was to deteriorate, could it be possible for oil to go past the oring and leak through the hole in the head to the right of the exhaust?

Matthew Phillips says:

Hi There schneids15. Thanks for all your videos. I’m struggling to get the cylinder head off due to the rubber Oring, it slides nicely on the 4 rods but as soon as it gets to the threads on the rods it won’t come off. Do you have to pick the oring out first? How do you do this? Thanks

Thank you for the video! I just bought me a King Quad 300, 1990 something. But it have a hole in the piston, so I have to rebuild the engine. I will do this with my 11 year old son as a sidekick 🙂

I watch a lot if your videos and they are really good. Has helped me a lot. This being an earlier one wasn't as good. Lighting was bad and you jumped around a lot. Hard to follow. I stoped watching it it wasn't helping me. Do you have other motir rebuild videos or is this the only one?7

Todd Follett says:

Great video.i have a 1998 suzuki 300 king guad and that rubber button you talk about in your video on the valve cover is leaking. Do I have to pull the whole cover to fix the leak

Great Quadrunner and worthy of your great tutorials! Every time I see one for sale here in Pennsylvania they get snagged up QUICK before I can get out the door to buy it, But I did manage to grab up a 250cc version w/plow just a few weeks ago. I'm keeping my eye out for a nice clean 300, it will come around.

john williams says:

The Suzuki engine looks identical. Wonder if they are

john williams says:

I usually have the piston in the cylinder sticking down just enough to slide the wrist pin in the rod.then the circlip. Push down cylinder and go. Has worked on about everything I've done so far. Hope it works for this one… Looks like it will. That circlip can be tricky but easier than putting piston on rod first.. Then trying not to break a ring when installing cylinder…

john williams says:

Great info… Is there an o ring that goes on the right rear cylinder stud under the base gasket. ….thx

Would you share the brand of plastic restorer that you use? I have the exact 1995 KQ model with the blue fenders. back ones are cracked bad, but i will restore the finish where i can.
addiionally i've got an oil leak in the front that is leaking onto the exhaust and smoking when it runs for a while. I'm thinking valve cover gasket. Thoughts??? Thanks!

For some strange reason I keep getting these old quads in for work to be done on them. One was a 1987, one a 1990, and one a 1991. The current has a carb. nightmare!!!

The Memulous says:

How did you find the bigger piston? If mine needs to be bored out I want to get it all correct

Yukon Freightworks Canoe Manzo says:

My top end kit came with three of those little o-rings. Is it just one dowl needing an o ring or are there more of them needing installation?

Ashroyer86 says:

Are parts readily available for a reasonable price for those?
