Hi mate, well done you, glad you got it sorted out, nothing scary once you know how aye..! good luck Del.

ridk19 says:

Once again I have followed your vid by the letter, and tackled a job that I have always feared. Thanks for saving me £££££.

Robert Gillman says:

One sheet does plenty! Great video, thanks sir!

Moonfleet41 says:

Hi Rob.. good to hear from you buddy, and thanks for your kind support… with your brake pins, check out my video on rebuilding the back caliper, (ill send you a link in PM in a minute) there is a trick of drilling two little holes in the caliper body so they can be drifted out….otherwise you can just split the caliper body halves in two and they will be easy to drop out then….and its never a bad idea to get some new ones, they dont cost much and then you can keep on top of them in future

Rob Hindes says:

Hi Delboy and Penny , just like to say a big Thanks for all your videos, I’m an avid watcher and newbie to bikes after 30 years on four wheels, your guy’s are an inspiration. I know that you don’t do videos on demand for obvious reason, there’s a Bandit to complete, but wondered if you had any tips for freeing up the brake pins on the rear end of a 2000 Suzuki gsx600f. The pins mine are seized to buggery and don’t want to shift, almost at the point of cutting them out and replacing them!!!!!!!

Artur Kaczmarek says:

Great staff, thanks for that!

Moonfleet41 says:

Hi Mick, that’s very kind of you to send a message – glad the videos helped and you’ve now done the job! Thanks for watching, take care, D&P

Mick Smyth says:

Hi delboy and penny , just like to say thanks for all your videos. Something a little different but looking at your videos gave me the confidence to tackle my car brake pads. Kinda figured cars must be pretty much the same. Anyway today changed front and rear pads all all went well. Thanks for the videos and absolutly loving project bandit.

Moonfleet41 says:

Sorry mate, I have no idea, I don’t have a GN125 and even if I did, I’d have to look it up! Am sure the info. is available on the net.. good luck with it

Shane Seguin says:

for a gn125e

Shane Seguin says:

Hey do u know the torque setting for the top of the engine ?

MADdaDJ says:

thank you soo much! very informative

Edward Jones says:

Thanks del, will see how it goes at the weekend.

Moonfleet41 says:

Hi Edward, no idea without seeing it mate, you will need to get it plumbed up properly first…it may just be bone dry…get the vac pump and plumb it up, it will probable be fine.

Edward Jones says:

Hi del, found you whilst searching for a vid for changing brake pads now I’m a massive fan! Had a wee snag when I did the job as I mistakenly pumped out one of the pistons. I removed the caliper and replaced the piston but on refitting it I now get no brake pressure at all. Have tried bleeding both calipers with little success, going to try it with a vacuum pump this weekend. Any idea what I’ve done?!

Edward Jones says:

Fab vid del!

Moonfleet41 says:

Well done, Ollie … it ain’t hard, is it? Sometimes the fear of a job is bigger then the job itself, you just need to see it done … take it easy mate and thanks for watching, Del

Ollie Powell says:

Saved my ass on a bunch of work on my bandit Del, nice one! This has been one I’ve been putting off until I realised it’d be so simple after seeing this

Moonfleet41 says:

Hi mate, no, nothing too taxing, just take it a step at a time, and its all very simple… good luck, del.

Blim3y says:

Delboy meant to say I have 650s with ABS does that make any difference to front pad change ? Thx

Blim3y says:

Nice one, doing front pads, oil change and filter tomorrow. Reckon you just saved me at least £100 in labour charges. Satisfaction in doing it yourself is a plus as well. Thx mate

Moonfleet41 says:

Hi Bisto.. thats a tall ask in one comment box.. its not hard to balance them, but the best way would be to get a manual to get the basic run through, use the mercury gauges for the easiest results..and set aside plenty of time as it takes a while to get the hang of setting them in turn…. sorry i cant just give you an easy fix on that, its a bit of a knack.. but practice makes perfect..

T Will says:

Del, you’re a star. Any tips on balancing the carbs on a bandit?

Moonfleet41 says:

Well done Will, glad it helped you out… Del.

william hamilton says:

Moonfleet41 says:

Moonfleet41 says:

Thanks for your kind comments.. we try out best… take care.. Del.

QuestoDomini . says:

Nice presentation, easy to follow and understand. I can see why it’s important to cover the main tasks of pad replacement before getting into the “refurbishment”. The best instruction for the newbie, is ALWAYS in small understandable increments. Thanks for the post, I enjoyed it.

Moonfleet41 says:

Thanks Ken, good luck with it mate…

Ken Smith says:

Awesome vid gonna do my bandit600 pads soon

Moonfleet41 says:

There you go, mate, well done – that’s what we like to hear, cheers, Del

Alexie Astachenko says:

Thanks for this. Your videos are a god-send. Got bike back from a service last Friday and they were gonna charge £65 for a pad change. Your video and my haynes manual saved me £40.

Bortoi Andrei says:

Thank you

Moonfleet41 says:

The mirror is made by Zefal, and it’s actually a bicycle mirror, super light weight plastic, cost about £15, great if you drop the bike as you don’t lunch a £60 fancy pants Oberon item… good luck with it, Del

LemonSoulMan says:

Where did you get those mirrors from. They look pretty good. Awesome video really helpful keep up the good work

paulvke says:

Thanks a lot for posting this vid.

Moonfleet41 says:

elliotsdad06 says:

blackbandit1989 says:

thanks del just replace my pads this vid helped a lot..feel the diffreance all ready thanks for the tip rick

Moonfleet41 says:

See my ‘Clutch Fluid Change’ which I just loaded, it’s the exact procedure for brakes too..sometimes trapped air can fragment into microscopic bubbles and permeate throughout the fluid,so even if you’ve just bled them it’s worth pumping a couple of reseviors of fresh fluid through he system so that you ‘change’ the fluid, then when that’s done, seal it all up and bungy the lever in against the grip overnight, this pressurises the fluid, opens the valve & allows any air to drift to the top Del

Chris Naude says:

Hi Del, I was wondering if you can do an episode on bleeding brakes. I always thought I know how to do this, but once done I still feel that the brakes are a bit spongy. So, Im not quite sure if Im doing it right… :-/

Moonfleet41 says:

Not stripped an ’03 caliper so ill take your word for that….you need to just look at the ways they are assembled and work out how the come out…perhaps a manual can help if you’re not sure.with making you a video, i just dont do it any more mate, dont have the time, i load up what i do on my own bikes, i get ten requests a day to make a video for people, i could never answer them all..they bleed up the same if fitted or not, ill be loading a clutch bleed video next, that will help you a lot..
