Normally, I would say you cross-threaded the bolt, but after careful
consideration, your pads brought the caliper out further and thus the bolt
will extend a bit further. Good job! You are just fine. I have a 1999 Saab
9-3 Viggan and I had the same thing happen and it is just fine. Later.

The pin is farther out becsuse the new pads are thicker, everything is
normal
