£3,000 Repair Cost on this Porsche Cayman 981 You Have to Be Kidding Me

Its going to cost around £3,000 to repair the Cayman. I handed the keys to my 2013 Porsche Cayman 981 S to Porsche Centre mechanics and this is what they found 😬😬

Its a 2013 Porsche Cayman 981 S with 20″ Spyder alloys finished in white. It has 63,000 miles and at the time of this video i have owned the car for 1.5 years.

This is of course if i wanted to continue using OEM sports exhaust. I will need to weigh up my options, it seems a shame to have to change the whole expensive sports exhaust for the sake of a seizing butterfly valve.

This video was made before the car was lowered (see my other videos on this car)

It’s a failure in the cayman and Boxster the coolant leak it’s super common

Made In Machines says:

So what cost £3000 exactly?

Craig Williams says:

These “main dealers” are a bloody nightmare- you had loads of meat on those discs!!! I Wouldn’t worry about the exhaust sound valve but the coolant leak is an issue. Nice motor though, so much nicer than those ugly Panamera’s!

PETER FRITZ says:

That’s a very cheap shot. YouTube ad revenue for 130k subs is far less than you think. But more importantly, try making half as many videos – no, a tenth as many – then you might have an insight into how much work goes into creating this free entertainment for you to enjoy. Opinions based on ignorance and speculation are worthless.

Steve Luck says:

My sports exhaust is exactly the same. Exhaust button changes the sound but not as much as pressing sport. Interesting.

Darren Prior says:

That 944 engine bay was off its head

Vincent T. says:

Nice to see you making videos again, yeah Porsche repairs are not cheap to say the least. That Cayman is beautiful, worth every penny to keep her well maintained.

Love those white wheels!

George Patterson says:

The problem with white wheels is they never match the body. These look cream against the pure white body.

Greg McKinney says:

That Rolls Royce though ❤️❤️❤️

That 944 though ❤❤❤
