Boring and lame speaker.

MrJaybody says:

Oh, ok. Then those aren’t W72 400 heads, then. But it looks like you did a
very nice job on the heads, yourself. Were the block and heads made
together? And what was the specs on the cam? Love to see just how you
finished off the engine, if you have it done? And what are your estimates
on power & torque? And what did you plan to use for exhaust? I’m thinking
maybe the streamlined RA III type manifolds or will you go for the older
long branch style? Both will look great in your ’66 GTO drop top!

MrJaybody says:

Thank you very much for your answer. I had thought they were 400 W72 heads,
but wasn’t 100% sure? I’d love to build a Pontiac engine using a similar
block & head combination, but for a sec. gen. Trans Am. For a nice mild,
but powerful street engine. I’m in Mustang country. So, you see my need for
a nice Pontiac powerhouse, like a 455. I have found your videos, very much
informative.

MrJaybody says:

Are those 6X heads from a 400 & are they also from a ’75 455? Might be a
novice newbie question, but just was curious about that? Love all your
building tips, so far.

Where did you get the valve spring compression tool? I purchased one from
car quest that was a real pos eventhough it was made in the u.s.

SuzRM250Stroker says:

some of that build up could be compressed carbon its hard to tell without a
scratch test

AlchemistLair says:

Bought at Jeg’s. It is COMP Cams 5333

SuzRM250Stroker says:

I have bin looking for a series like this!

AlchemistLair says:

Oh no!! It’s casting flash!!

AlchemistLair says:

Glad I could help!! I hope to be getting back to this engine soon!!
