Synthetic is not oil…. it is a lubricant…..good old heavy duty truck oil with zinc and phosphorus. She will tick along for years. Better than today's junk..
Do all that work then run the wrong oil in it. That engine needs zinc. Period. Synthetic oil is gonna let you learn how to rebuild it twice.
