Nissan Electronic Throttle Body: Idle Re-learn Procedure

Nissan Electronic Throttle Body: Idle Re-learn Procedure

Welcome to the Trick Shift Garage! In this video, we will show you how to reset your throttle body’s engine idle speed to normal. There are numerous steps where you can go wrong so try to do your best and if it doesn’t work the first time try again. It took us more than a handful of times until it finally worked. This procedure should work for most of Nissan’s electronic throttle body engines. Thank you for watching and Supporting the Channel!

Amazing! Worked first time on 2006 manual Qashqai. Didn’t hear the throttle body noise but kept going with the instructions and the engine light blinked still as you described so I kept going 🙂 had the high idle issue after cleaning the throttle body and now idles at 600 rather than 1400. Noice.

I’ve attempted a couple of times, i did exactly in the video, start the car once check engine stays solid, im still getting the p2101 code. Should the code go away instantly? Or does it mean the system didn’t re-learn?

Great video. I have a 2002 Nissan Xterra 3.3 VG33e. I had the battery out for 3 hours to replace my power steering pump. When I reinstalled the battery I noticed immediately after it warmed up that I was having a very rough idle. Scan showed P0300. Could this be the cause?

@KeystoneTexan says:

Is this process necessary for a 2013 Nissan Armada?
