The torque strut engine mount braces the engine against twisting, shaking, and vibrating when under load, and when load changes suddenly. The rubber bushings on the torque strut mount will wear down over time, and need to be replaced, even if the strut itself is in good condition. You’ll know it’s time to replace the torque strut engine mount when you feel vibration or shaking, especially when accelerating. This video shows you how to install a new torque strut engine mount on your 2007-2012 Nissan Sentra.

Mine still gives a tug when I put in drive. Why if I changed all the mounts?

@alexrubio9804 says:

I wouldn’t care about the mounts before frame lol

@dooberoso says:

My transmission is sagging I guess. I cant get the bolts back in the holes. When I pump the jack the whole car lifts. I am thinking about blocking the rear wheels and putting the car in gear to see if the transmision and engine will twist forward to allow me to insert the bolts.

Same for a 2016 sentra?

Hi guys, I replaced this engine torque mount on my 2016 Sentra. It was torn and as a result the motor rattled a lot and the top saddle-style engine mount shifted off of the rubber mount. Replacing the lower engine torque strut seemed to go well and I was able to shift the upper mount back into place. But today it’s rattling again and the upper engine mount has shifted back towards the edge of the saddle mount. Any ideas as to why? Thanks for the helpful video btw
