The housing is located on the passenger side of the car on the right side of the footwell.
The airflow arrow should be pointing towards the back of the car.

I have a Nissan Murano 2006 does mine had a cabinet air filter too?
That appears to be a lot more trouble than its worth. I fail to see how that filter tucked away out of sight does anything. I think I will just lower my window if I want
some fresh air. Looks like a poorly engineered design to me but that's just my opinion.
i changed my 2003 nissan murano. it was beyond filthy. i was shocked. Also it appeared like it had sludge in it. mine is washable carbon so i put on gentle cycle in washing machine and it came out clean as a whistle. My Air Flow is so much better now. Thank you so much for this video.
Same on 2015 + Murano, good luck getting the cover to catch on the top end lol. Lots of cuss words
On my 2009 Murano I did not have to remove the carpet siding to get to the filter. I was able to look down under there and I saw the area of the filter location. The siding was not covering the location. All I had to do was just pop out the cover and insert the filter then put back the cover.
Where's the housing ?
