Just changed the ballast on the passenger side of my 2005 Nissan Murano
using this video. It was a god-send. I took my car to the dealer and they
wanted to charge me nearly $600 to do the job. I would rather buy a new car
than give them $600 to replace a headlight. I found a replacement ballast
on ebay for $90 and the rest is history. Great video, great instructions
and easy to do. Thanks a bunch.
There may be a kit on the internet somewhere that would enable you to
convert it to HID.
@1aauto I have a 2003 Murano. I am pretty sure it has Xenons. I cannot see
at night. I see that the top bulbs are dim. I don’t know how it is possible
to replace those bulbs without taking out the whole assembly. I cannot get
my hand in back there otherwise.
Do I have to remove all that to change the headlight bulbs?
Great video. I paid close to 11600 in changing of the ballast and new
lights, and the left side went out again! due to water going in, they
saying I need a new housing. I might just attempt this myself cuz they are
trying to charge me 800 for the part alone!
I was driving in the rain the other night and when I arrived home I noticed
my head light Xenon had gone out. Thinking i need to just replaced the bulb
I now need to replace the whole assembly… My question is the only type of
replacement lights assembly i can find is HALOGEN and XENON. Are they the
same and the bulbs are different? Or, are they two separate assemblies?

Only part that’s hard to remove for me is the PIN (3:23). i wasn’t able to
get it off and i ended up cutting it. if anyone wants to attempt to do this
remember to get some Fender Clips, you can replaced the old ones in case
you break them.
@888forme No, if you just need to chance the bulbs you can reach in and
remove them from the back of the headlight. This is shown at the very
beginning of the video. Hope this helps.
is it more disassembling? Mine has xenon lights also, and am thinking of
attempting to change the housing myself

the headlight bulb without having to take the headlights out.

I bought my Murano from out of state in AZ a couple years ago and the
headlights are very weathered. I bought a new set on eBay and will give

@KillerZero259 It looks as though the original headlight may have become
cloudy. In this auto repair video we show you how to replace the old
headlight on your 03-07 Nissan Murano with a new headlight assembly from
1AAuto.com .
You will have to swap over both the ballast igniter and the bulbs if they
did not come with any.
If you have XENON HID lighting, then they are different than the halogen
headlights.

1aauto can i just switch from xenon to halogen if i buy the complete
assembly so i can save money..do i just replace it and plug it in? 07sl usa
You may be able to follow some of the basic steps show in the halogen
install. The HIDs could be slightly different in the way that they mount.
