In this video, I demonstrate how to install a Megan Racing front strut tower bar on my 2014 Nissan Sentra. As far as I know, this particular strut bar should fit on any 2013-2019 Nissan Sentra with the 1.8L (MRA8DE) engine.
*Note: Apparently, this strut bar WILL NOT fit on the 2017-2019 Nissan Sentra SR Turbo and Nismo, due to the different engine setup.
*Note: In the video, I say to torque down the bolts to 37 foot-pounds (pound-feet). The correct torque is actually 12-15 foot-pounds. My apologies..

After I installed this strut bar, I did notice maybe a slight increase in steering response. However, what I noticed the most was how the front end of the car felt more stable and seemed “more confident” while cornering. Honestly, I’m not just stating this to get more “likes” on this video; but the car does seem more planted while cornering and body roll seems to be less as well. Granted, it’s not exactly a night and day difference, but for a part that can be purchased for under $100 and is fairly easy to install, I would still recommend it!

For those of you with this same setup (Megan Strut Bar + Injen Short Ram Intake) you will notice the Driver's side Strut mount is very close to the intake tubing and can cause a little rattle every once in a while. One solution is to put a small rubber pad between the tube and the area on the mount to prevent the noise.
Ok so off video topic. I have a 2014 Sentra, and have been having a few small issues, 1 small leak evap no biggie I can get it smoked unless related. I got my car used 47,000mi, seemed like it was running great. Few hundred miles later I’m having a small issue while acceleration there seems to be a jiggle at start, and about 40mph. It kicked a maf code so I cleaned it, and no problem with check engine, but still the jiggle or rocking back and forth slightly sorry hard to explain. It seems worse when running A/C. The guy before me put some aftermarket things on it, nothing crazy, wheels, strut bar, LED’s. So I’m curious if you have any suggestions, or just take it in. I’ve fixed a vacuum leak off the evap solenoid going that was it, but I feel like I chasing my tail. I can fix most things, even did idle relearn. I’m even wondering if it’s just the way my CVT works, if this issue would go away it would be a perfect car. Or, maybe this is something I can live with, I’m all ears if you have a clue.

I got the 2016!sentea SR and it’s at 30000 miles and it’s like ticket really loud like a knock is that why your doing that..
Btw. This strut bar is not compatible with a 17+ Sentra Turbo. Passenger side strut has a different set up than the n/a.

I got the same megan stb! That left strut tower area is a pita compared tot the left right!? Hahaha! Where can I get those new flange bolts? And how much? I got got some crooked/flattened thread on my oem bolts. 13, M8-1.25 x 20 right?
What thickness is the friend bar looks very thin and how is the bar with the bar installed?
