probably…because this video was for ’05-’12 altima. i suggest, cut off the line before the fitting. then remove hose. then use a vise grip to clamp real good to the fitting. hope it works.

I tried doing this but had a lot of problems removing the hose from the steering rack. I’m concerned I might’ve stripped part of the fitting. Any suggestions on what the problem might be (could it just be stuck since I have an ’03)?

welcome and thank you for the comment and advice. I will make sure there is more light. just be patient when replacing it. take some breaks too.

Thanks. I went ahead and bought the genuine hose so I’ll give this a go over the weekend. The video’s great, and very informative, the only thing I’d suggest for future videos is more light. Keep up the good work!

well, getting to it as you can see in the video, it is a very tight space. it was the hardest thing to do while replacing the hose. you just have to really get in there and unscrew that bolt, lucky I have small hands. 2) funny thing is, the guy bought a used hose. I told him it will leak again. neighbor of mine, I replaced his. he bought genuine Nissan hose in ebay for $100. Use genuine I strongly recommend. Welcome and have a nice day.

Couple of questions:
1) Can you go through the steps of removing the bracket in a more detail?
2) Did you use a Genuine Nissan replacement hose? If not, what brand hose did you use and were you able to fit the bracket on it?

Thanks

Filled power steering reservoir with fluid, stayed underneath the car while someone kept on turning the steering wheel. Fluid gushing out immediately from the hose. I’ve replaced a lot of those pressure side steering hoses. same problem with the Murano’s.
