Where are you guys located?
Where are you located!!
I do all the shit myself!
I love how the technician was giggling the ENTIRE time. Including brakes, maybe $500 diy. What a fuxin rip off. Anyone that has their service done at the dealer is a SUCKER!
There's a difference between knowing what service items are needed and asking a mechanic what they think should be done. many times, Special Service intervals like "B" are (or should be) included in the normal scheme of caring for your car.
Thats wild, thats hardly any parts or labor for what you get lol.
Spark Plugs are 11$ off rockauto a piece, coils can be around 100/piece oil for a whole kit from FCP Euro youre looking at around 100 max. Air filters both cabin and engine are dang near free (20-30$/per). Brake Fluid isn't bad at around 50$/4L. Take that to a indy shop and theyll have it done for next to nothing all together. I love how they act like balancing and rotating tires is something to pay insane for. Thats included in most oil changes at a dealership and they charge outrageous prices at something like 100 an oil change.
The best way is try to do everything by your self
I pay 350 euros for a B service at my mb specialist in Portugal
Yeah and s class might cost 5k a year to maintain.
Keeping my Corolla
My car had to be towed in for service and I chose the dealership. After they diagnosed the problem and gave me an ASTRONOMICAL ESTIMATE, I had the car put right back on the tow truck! I had it towed to an independent MBZ mechanic!!!
A and B service are the same. They still screw you in the Ass and Butt.
When the cars out of warranty, take it to an independent garage and they will do it for a fraction of the price,
Im doing everything by myself and save a lot of money torque spec etc etc
At least she didn’t have to buy a new turbocharger! I had to get mine replaced at 68k and it cost about 6 grand
