I have a 2009, c180, w204, I think the thermostat and housing is the same. The hose, spacer, rings, thermostat, ALL CLICK together, and then slide in as one assembly. Well, that is how it was with my car, when I replaced my thermostat.

KIT TSANG says:

I think this tutorial only goes up to 2005. 2006 and on has a different engine.

Thandanani Sinokwanyana says:

thermo housing is broken and that is not a spacer, you must replace that housing.

Val Gal says:

What normal temperature for 2006 w203? I’m wondering if mine is running a little hot

Kristaps Moruss says:

After I replaced my thermostat I have been experiencing slow but steady coolant leakage. I did not break my plastic housing while replacing it. Used new thermostat and new o-rings. Any idea what could have cause it to leak? P.S. I did not drain any coolant, there is a little bit of coolant coming out when you pull out thermostat but its not much.

Petros Christodoulides says:

When the thermostat housing is broken, it is rather tricky to install and keep in place the outer o-ring with high risk of water leakage thereafter. So best to replace it when broken.

Douglas Sampedro says:

Great job my mate. Thanks

Nick Cowen says:

My c180 kompressor won’t get up to temperature when it is still without interior heating on it will get to 80 degrees but while driving unless in stop and go traffic it won’t get to operating temperature.

Should I replace the thermostat? Also it is winter right now about 10 degrees Celsius outside maybe this is why it’s not hot?

kyllasaakuvata says:

No need to take all fluids off. Just suck much as you can from liquid coolant reservoir. took anout 3L and then theres no leaking from thermostat when you open it., Then just add new or same old 3L cooling liqued and have fun.

Vimototv victor montes de oca says:

if thermostat gets stuck, uper radiator hose could be blown?

John Lemon says:

you don't need to remove the radiator drain plug, just loosen it

Elijah Gikonyo says:

why could water mix oil inside the radiator?
