You just replaced a crappy speaker with another crappy speaker. You would
of been better off replacing it with a aftermarket 2 way speaker.
+fupabox hey can l install 6×9 Speakers in the W202 doors?
Are all mercedes benz E Class door speakers 4 inches? Am looking to upgrade
my mercedes benz 2000 e240 door speakers but dont know which size they are
? I want to upgrade all my speakers
My little setup WAS going to be
– Pioneer dehx6650bt headunit
– 4 × 4 inch pioneer speakers( for each door)
– 2 6×9 pioneer speakers for the rear
did you get the amp also?
Why you don’t tested ? 😀 There are Bose Speakers in Mercedes w210?
shit me, just one of the bose speakers would cost a few hundred, u got a
bargain.
+RR redaxis where does it fucking says “test” on the video’s title?? Learn
to read before you do anything.
where is the fucking test???
I did change the speakers on my doors with kenwoods. the sound is allot
better. ( OEM radio). just to let you know the rear could be a pain because
you have to open the door cover. ( I cheated and didn’t open it lol )
what if you have a 4 ohm speaker and put some resistances to bring it down
to 2 ohms will that work?
I would love to get it if you found it…
Great car just some horrible speakers and head unit. I have the C280
yes they sound very good without the Bose amp..would most likely sound
better with the Bose amp..I couldn’t find a working one in my local
wrecking yard though
I didn’t know the 2000 models had 6x9s..cool thanks for the info..
I would use a higher watt amp. the stock bose is no more than 240w.
🙂
I just finished doing the rear deck speakers and the rear door speakers
(all Bose..2 in the deck and 2 in the rear doors ..didn’t use or need the
bose amp)….I didn’t video anything since it was dark out but I will make
one tomorrow showing the steps..it’s fairly easy..about 20 minutes for both
rear doors and about 30 minutes for the rear deck speakers…don’t believe
what you read about taking the whole rear parcel shelf out..I’ll show you a
shortcut..
hi there, thanks for making the video. I also have 97 model c180 with stock
speakers and i work for Mercedes. I cant find Bose speakers on wreckers
here and on internet it costing much. Can you find me Bose speakers for me?
Pls elt me know if u help me. thanks Hari Melbourne,Aus
ahh. thanks for the info
can you also make a video of the installation of the rears? and i noticed
on the back of my c220 where the subs go i only have 2 rather than 4, can i
also up grade those? or do i also need to upgrade with the bose amp?
does the W202 Bose system have a subwoofer?
Nice ! good video ! But all Bose Speakers are running true an Bose
Amplifier (original) is the sound without this Amplifier also pretty good?
None other than my own or friends cars..I’ve owned over 70 cars now and
have always done all my own repairs.. Mercedes are for the most
part, exactly the same as other vehicles to work on..shocks,brakes
,suspension, are similar on all cars..fluids are one of the things that are
very specific to Mercedes vehicles, and you have to make sure to use
specified fluids a lot of the time… I consult manuals for torque specs
etc.
did you work on mercedes? you seem to know more than the normal mercedes
enthusiast
Oh ok, and is this the same for all years of the W202 (for example is the
Bose system in the 1995 W202 the same as the Bose in the 1999 W202)? In the
ML Bose System there is an underseat subwoofer (98 – 05) that’s why I
wanted to clarify about the C-class Bose system.
the problem with the Mercedes stock speakers is the resistance ..just make
sure you substitute speakers with the same ohm rating as the stock speakers
and you will be fine…BOSE speakers are 2 ohm..as are many of the stock
Mercedes non BOSE speakers..so a speaker with 4 or 6 ohm rating will sound
like crap and will prob. wreck the stock amp…if you replace the stock
amp.(the head unit is unamplified) than you can use a 4 or 6 ohm speaker
I got a 97 230 myself. I’ve got no luck out here with any yards having BOSE
speakers. If I wired in new speakers, would I blow the head unit? I’m
trying to keep the original head unit as I love the look. I’m just trying
to get decent speakers. thanks for an answer in advance!
yes
so was it worth it?
Mercedes are quite easy to work on…
I still got my factory speakers in mines and people think I got 2 12s
inside my Benz
can i replace my door speakers with 6 by 9’s
