I bought mine from ebay last time, but I made sure they were a decent make. I think they were Duracell and cost about £1 each.
In comparison you can get a card with about 50 various CR batteries on it for a £1
Yea i guess i am using cheap batteries, i bought them at radio shack!! Lol. Should i buy them from the mercedes dealer instead? I just thought they where kinda the same.

No, you just replace the battery and it should work fine ;-)

Thanks so much! I didn’t even realize there was an emergency key in the fob and we’ve had the car for years.
Notes: The Mercedes key takes two CR2025 – 3V batteries
It was a few years back, but think it was about £160
If you don’t mind me asking… how much was the new key?
When the key in my van did this I had to buy a new key.
I had to take the log book to the main Mercedes garage and they ordered me a new key for the next day.
