You don't need to remove the chromed trim you just push the tab in the corner from the inside and the cover lifts up and you can get your nail under it to remove.

2 minutes to swap out the battery. 5 minutes trying to get the new battery out of all the effing cardboard and plastic packaging.
good video, very helpful. Now my question is why do they make it so complicated? My guess is they want you to bring it into their dealership so they can charge you for that and maybe find other things to "fix".
